Northridge, CA, January 10, 1997 -- Soligen Technologies, Inc. (AMEX:SGT.EC) today reported improved operating results for the third quarter and nine months of fiscal 1997. Revenues for the third quarter ended December 31, 1996 rose 77% to $1,334,000 compared to $753,000, for the same period last year. Notably, revenues in the third quarter rose 78% over the second quarter of fiscal 1997.

The Company reported a loss of $(29,000) or $(0.00) per share, for the third quarter of fiscal 1997. This compares to a loss of $(332,000) or $(0.01) per share for the third quarter of last year. "I am very pleased with the progress we are making as margins improve along with our revenues," said Yehoram Uziel, President and CEO of Soligen. "Customers are satisfied with the quality, delivery time and prices of our products which gives me a good reason to believe that this positive business atmosphere will continue."

In the third quarter of fiscal 1997, the combined revenues from the Parts Now® service and the DSPC® center increased by 324% to $972,000 from $229,000 in the third quarter of fiscal 1996, and by 120% from $441,000 in the second quarter of fiscal 97.

For the nine months ending December 31, 1996, revenues increased to $2,627,000 an increase of 27% as compared to $2,062,000 for the same period in the prior year. For the first nine months of Fiscal 97, the Company reported a net loss of $1,241,000 or $(0.04) per share, compared to a net loss of $(1,088,000) or $(0.04) per share in the nine months of the preceding year. Fiscal 97 nine months loss includes a one time non-cash interest expense totaled $250,000 associated with the conversion of outstanding debentures to equity which occurred in the second quarter. The Company intends to restate its second quarter earning report for fiscal 97 ended September 30, 1996 to include this one-time non-cash interest expense.

Soligen's DSPC® technology is a proprietary fabrication process for metal parts that produces ceramic molds for metal casting directly from a CAD file. By using the DSPC technology, Soligen is able to produce a first article metal part bypassing the traditional need for tooling. Additionally, Parts Now® produces production tooling for larger runs of metal castings from the same CAD file as the approved part. By combining three key production elements: DSPC technology, conventional casting methods and Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machine practices, the Company has created the first "one-stop-shop" for functional metal parts that are made directly from a CAD file and that are ready for assembly. As a result, Parts Now has become a single source for out-sourcing of metal parts.
