SOLIGEN TECHNOLOGIES' DSPC RANKS IN
AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING'S 1997
"READERS' CHOICE TOP 15 TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS OF THE YEAR"

Northridge, CA -- January 12, 1998 -- Soligen Technologies, Inc. (AMEX:SGT.EC) today announced that its proprietary Direct Shell Production Casting (DSPC) placed on Automotive Engineering magazine's list of the "Readers' Choice Top 15 Technological Innovations of the Year." Automotive Engineering has a circulation of 100,000 engineers and managers in all aspects of the automotive industry, with a total estimated readership, which includes pass-along, of 260,000.

The article, which profiles DSPC, appeared in the December issue of Automotive Engineering. Soligen's DSPC earned a place on the list and a first page profile by receiving one of the greatest number of inquiries about the technology from the magazine's readership in 1997. "This is a rewarding surprise," said Yehoram Uziel, CEO of Soligen Technologies. "The introduction of a new, revolutionary technology can take quite a bit of time. I am gratified to see that our DSPC technology has begun to grab the attention of the engineers and project managers that it is meant to help. In 1997, Soligen demonstrated the advantages of using DSPC to make highly complex automotive castings, in record delivery time and with superb quality. We are looking forward to continued success in 1998."

Soligen's DSPC technology is a proprietary fabrication process for metal parts that produces ceramic molds for metal casting directly from a CAD file. By using the DSPC technology, Soligen is able to produce a first article metal part, bypassing the traditional need for tooling. Additionally, Parts Now produces production tooling for larger runs of metal castings from the same CAD file as the approved part. By combining three key production elements: DSPC technology, conventional casting methods and Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machine practices, the Company has created the first "one-stop-shop" for functional metal parts that are made directly from a CAD file and that are ready for assembly.
